The event is curated and hosted by Orlando Giraldo, a Colombian-Canadian filmmaker and the founder of Magafin Productions. With a passion for cultural storytelling and independent cinema, Orlando has built a creative platform that bridges diverse voices and communities. His dedication to nurturing talent and creating meaningful artistic dialogue is at the heart of Toronto Film Social, making each gathering a space where stories are shared, collaborations are born, and community flourishes.

CHRIS TEMPLE - MUSICIAN

Christ Temple is a singer-songwriter known for his heartfelt lyrics and stripped-down guitar style. Active on social media and a participant in indie music tournaments, Christ draws inspiration from his earliest music memory—the iconic Elvis Presley Comeback Special of 1968. Influenced by the raw storytelling of Bruce Springsteen, his songs often come to life while driving, capturing everyday moments with sincerity and soul.

ELISE WERNECK FILMMAKER

Elisa Werneck is a director, producer, and gaffer who has worked in the film industry since 2018. A member of NABET and IATSE, she began by assisting various productions before transitioning to the Electrical department. Her credits include union shows like Murdoch Mysteries, Titans, and Orphan Black. As co-founder and CEO of Flying Dino Pictures and Director/Producer at MaketheFilms Studios, Elisa channels her entrepreneurial drive into both her own independent projects and supporting others in bringing theirs to life.

TERRY MILLS - FILMMAKER

Terry Mills is an independent filmmaker based in Mississauga/Toronto with 25+ years in the local indie arts scene. Since 2018, he has created several short films including Tightrope Walker, The Beast of Love series, and the award-winning comedy Pay Your Bill. His work blends surrealism, film noir, and real-life inspiration.

ANTHONY TRAN FILMMAKER

Anthony Tran is a Toronto-based filmmaker who began his journey volunteering at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival. Transitioning from the culinary world, he gained experience in various film roles before founding Banana Bridge Studios in 2019. His work includes the short film Siance Fiction and the award-winning music video A Wind of Change. Anthony is passionate about telling meaningful stories and growing as a creative voice in the film industry.

ISABELLE WOODS MUSICIAN

Isabelle Woods is a multidisciplinary artist and musician based in Toronto, Canada, and a recent graduate of OCAD University. With a background in traditional realist painting, her visual art is deeply observational and introspective. Isabelle’s work explores the power of specificity and vulnerability—whether through lyrics or imagery—to create experiences that resonate on a personal level. She is also making waves in Toronto’s open mic scene, especially at the beloved Free Times Café.

ANDREW KEER

Andrew is from Toronto, and hosts the weekly open mic at the Free Times Cafe. In Fall 2023 he wandered in after finding the Free Times on Google, and has been hanging around ever since.
